Course Overview:
Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR C/AED
This comprehensive two-day course provides in-depth training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), equipping participants with the confidence and skills to respond to a wide range of medical emergencies—whether at work, home, or in the community.
Covering everything from life-threatening conditions to common injuries and illnesses, this hands-on course emphasizes real-world scenarios, critical thinking, and teamwork. Participants will learn to assess scenes safely, provide effective care, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) with confidence.
Topics include:
- CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants
- Airway, breathing, and circulation emergencies
- Wound care and bleeding control
- Head, neck, and spinal injuries
- Sudden medical emergencies (seizures, diabetic emergencies, strokes, etc.)
- Environmental emergencies (heat/cold exposure)
- Bone, muscle, and joint injuries
- Poisoning, burns, and more
